When lions are detected, Community Guardians will rush to the scene, often in the middle of the night to scare the lions away. They prevent lions getting too close to villages and livestock, so that farmers don’t have to take drastic measures to protect them.

In 2024 we helped fund the training of 15 Lion Guardians in the Greater Mara region of Southern Kenya alone.
